Thank You - We Will See You Soon.

The Music Barn will be canceling our upcoming events on May 6th, May 12th, and May 13th. Our upcoming event with School of Rock Deptford on May 27th will remain active. We have made the incredibly difficult decision to cancel most upcoming events as well as to hold off on events that are currently "in the works". We are doing this to refocus our energy and efforts and to hopefully come back with something new and exciting for everyone in 2023.

More immediately, we will be transitioning some additional funds and time into the New Jersey Chamber Orchestra (NJCO) who many of you have joined us for and grown to love. The NJCO is New Jersey's newest professional orchestra featuring members of The Philadelphia Orchestra and Maestro Thomas Hong of the University of Pennsylvania among other incredible musicians. Please be looking out for new events with the NJCO starting late summer/fall 2022.

While I understand this may be a disappointment to many - I do believe that this is the best path forward in our goal of further growing and supporting live music in Southern New Jersey. If you have a ticket purchased for any upcoming show that is affected by this, or are a Discovery Member for 2022, we will be issuing a full refund to your card on file by Friday, May 13th at the latest. I do thank you for your patience if you are awaiting a refund of your ticket purchase.

On a more positive note: I owe an immense "THANK YOU" to everyone that has helped along the way. To my family, friends, and girlfriend who have been so incredibly supportive in helping each event run, in printing and designing graphics and banners, in marketing the events, in being my sounding board, and in being my rock - thank you. From the bottom of my heart I could not have done any of this without you.

Thank you as well to every single person that has joined us for a Music Barn event over the past three years! It has been one of the great pleasures of my life to meet so many of you through our events. Thank you for believing in what we are doing and for trying something new with us. We hope to see you back for our new offerings when they are available.

Thank you to all of the artists, performers, sound and lighting professionals, food trucks, and sponsors/business partners that have joined us for our three exciting years. I never dreamed that I would be able to meet so many of you wonderful people and work with you day after day in a venue of my own. Thank you for being the ones that made every show as exciting and fun as it was for everyone attending.

It is because of the immense support from others in our community that we were able to feature over 20 shows over the past three years (featuring over 60 performers) across a variety of genres. It is because of your support that we were able to do the unthinkable and be one of the very first venues in the nation to reopen during the COVID-19 pandemic (in August of 2020) to a safely socially-distanced sell-out crowd. And perhaps most importantly, it is because of your support that we plan on coming back with fresh new ideas and formats soon.

We will be back. In the meantime, keep supporting your local artists who need your support now more than ever. Keep supporting your local small businesses, many of whom are on the verge of taking hiatuses themselves due to rising costs, staffing issues, and the lasting effects of the pandemic. Keep supporting live music and entertainment - a world without music is not a world any of us want to live in.

Thank you all. We will see you in Fall 2022 at the New Jersey Chamber Orchestra and in 2023 for all new ideas.
